4.Ever? Wow! Can't recall the name, but it is an intimate & ridiculously pricey restaurant north (I think) of San Francisco [Half-Moon Bay], right off the coast. Gorgeous scenery. Fantastic salmon and native berries. Candles. White table linens. So fine.
5.Cruise, 2003?..though, in keeping with the Me-cow's practice,..it was more of a dip than a swim.
6.Absolutely not!

13.I don't think so.
14.Everything in me is repulsed by heights/height-related activities; so, as I usually say, "Yes, I'd do [either] if it were a matter of doing to it to save someone's life." A part of me, though, does "like the 'idea'" of such activities. It's not the fear of death factor...it's the hollow, pukey feeling factor.
15.As a U.S.citizen, Rome, Italy; as a citizen of Korea, San Francisco, CA.

28.SKOR
29.U.S. Presidential Election
30.What's "homegrown"? Probably haven't consumed one since the year I ate several gallons of cherry tomatoes (in one sitting) at my grandparents' when I was eight. That was the visit during which I also chewed up saltines till they were the perfect consistency from which to make "balls" so that I could throw them toward the ceiling in an attempt to make them all stick/adhere to said ceiling indefinitely (and I was quite successful at making 'em stick).
31.Yep.
32.No one's died yet from....
33.Oh please.

Umm....Jessie, your recantation of the National Athem is incorrect... It's "...what so proudly we HAILED" (though I can see where people from Louisiana would have dubious trouble with this), then you forgot the phrase "...at the twilight's last gleaming? WHOSE BROAD STRIPES AND BRIGHT STARS THROUGH THE PERILOUS FIGHT, O'ER THE RAMPARTS WE WATCHED WERE SO GALLANTLY STREAMING? and the rocket's...", there is no "the" between "bursting in air", "...gave PROOF through the night...", and the end is "...O'er the land of the FREE and the home...". Just thought I'd point that out;).

Jessie,

You are the perfect canidate for Jay Leno's "Jay Walking" segment. You are an "ex-patriot" for this high crime against America. Why don't you go move to North Korea, or worse...France!

Posted by: B. J. Kennedy at February 21, 2005 06:58 PM

Yeah, they don't have a stupid national athem to memorize there in France. But alas, their "jay-walkers" aren't as nasty as you...... Love ya Jessie!

Oh goodness, there's this website called ebaumsworld.com where you can watch all kinds of funny clips, and there's one where a girl won a contest to sing the national anthem at one of the NBA Final Four games a couple of years ago, was all decked out, started to belt it out at the top of her mediocre voice and.... SHE FORGOT IT!! She got through the first few lines and then at "what so prooouudly we haaailed at the---starlight---at the staaarliight---" then she looked mortified and sort of panicked and the audience and a commentator coached her through the rest of it. I was LAUGHING SO HARD!

This may have been the same one, but I think a coach had to come help her out too. I saw that on live television and forgot about it! That was pretty funny!

France has no national anthem, Richard?
This will come as a great shock to the French, who are under the impression that La Marseillaise is indeed their national anthem (go to http://www.marseillaise.org ).

I can understand the confusion, though: since the French never win anything at the Olympics, most Americans never get to hear the French national anthem played and many no doubt assume they they don't have one.

Too bad whining isn't an Olympic event: we'd be hearing La Marseillaise a lot!

about #32- you are a good cook. BTW could you post
the Mex. tortilla casserole recipe. I have been
craving it but can't find the recipe in my obsessively organized recipe file. ;)
